Väldigt intressant artikel om hur Antigua/Barbuda använder WTO för att tvinga USA att tillåta online gambling. Särskilt biten om hur de ska få ta ut ett eventuellt skadestånd. Genom att få tillstånd att ignorera amerikansk copyright (vilket tydligen är en åtgärd som beviljats i ett annat tidigare fall) hoppas de få copyright-lobbyn i USA att göra deras jobb, briljant!

Finns ju några citat som verkligen visar på hur USA sköter det hela

“One day they’re out there saying how scandalous it is that China doesn’t respect W.T.O. decisions,”

 

But then the next day there’s a dispute that doesn’t go their way and their attitude is: The decision is completely wrong, these judges don’t know what they’re doing, why should we comply?”

 

“This is the world’s biggest consumer and exporter of gambling services trying to prohibit a small country from developing its economy by offering these same services. And we find that deeply hypocritical.”

 

Intressant att WTO har tillåtit en sådan lösning innan. Trodde faktiskt först det var ett dåligt skämt.
