Papa Kubo Postad 26 November , 2004 Rapport Postad 26 November , 2004 Oh, woe is me. I've been here for days. I was hog-tied and drug in and forced to stay. I've lost thousands at least, give or take a few. My banker will kill me. What shall I do? I make a straight on the flop - drawn out on the end. Then deuces full - killed once again. In agony I scream, "Change the deck, change the game!" Hand after hand the result is the same. I hate all the dealers, the Poker God too. I've cussed everything 'til the air is blue. I'll play one more hand, then I may start to win. If not . . . what the hell, I'll just buy in again. - LINDA R. GEENEN Citera
Hunter69 Postad 27 November , 2004 Rapport Postad 27 November , 2004 Hittade en..... I owe my being to the rooms and the casinos tables, the bluffers and the showdowns , the tournaments, the online poker directories, the cards, the saving bets, the scoops and the ever-changing odds that define the face of our beloved poker game.. My body has frozen in the cold of a showdown and in our aircon casino lobbies. It has thawed in the warmth of my flush set and melted to the most straight faced bluff ,the heat of the final hand . The crack and the rumble of the card shuffle, lashed by startling showdowns, have been a cause both of trembling and of hope. The fragrances of cigars and trickery have been as pleasant to us as the sight of the new pack ,and of new citizens to the poker world. The dramatic shape of the , the bicycle-printed packs of Minnesotta ,Las Vegas and Monte Carlo, and the sands of the carribean, have all been panels of the set on the natural stage on which we act out the foolish deeds of the theatre of our play. At times, and in fear, I have wondered whether I should concede equal citizenship of our brotherhood to the schemer and the scammer, the joker and the , the hyena, the python and the bloodsucking mosquito. A human presence among all these, a feature on the face of our native game thus defined, I know that none dare challenge me when I say - I am a Poker Player! Citera
