Good book for players new to the game – which there are a lot of at the minute, but of very limited use to players like myself who have some experience of the game. Too much detail given about how to sign-up for an account, how to make a deposit, etc. – this sort of stuff is fairly straight forward even to newbies – the sites themselves provide extensive instructions for anyone who is experiencing difficulties.

 

The sample hands given on the CD which accompanies the book are OK – but again, they are very simple and straightforward and won’t really teach much to anyone who already has a good grasp of the basics of the game. Instruction relating to strategies for the games covered comprises a very small part of the overall book.

 

In summary, buy Internet Texas Holdem by Matthew Hilger if you are anything but an absolute beginner. If you are totally fresh to the game then this book will give you something.
