  1. Hoping to get some clarity on this. If it is okay to play on sites that aren't licensed for Sweden but are EU based, what needs to be done and what options does that open up?
  2. Is this now confirmed? Earlier in the thread people seemed confident that 100% of sites not licensed in Sweden were taxable. Is that now officially changed? So sites based in the EEA are not taxable if a Swede goes to another EU country for some months and sets up an account? Then if they move back to Sweden, can they continue to play on the site and will it continue to be tax free? This stuff is confusing. As always, sorry for my English!
  3. I wanted to bump this to update. I managed to screw around with the form in a stupid way (when BankID failed) to finally get my birthday correct. When I go to submit the info, however, it keeps telling me the information is not correct though every field accepts my information. Any thoughts or experience?
  4. 888 has some of the worst customer service on earth. I still can't migrate. Has anyone encountered a bug where it won't let you enter your birthday properly? For some insane reason, it is not letting me drag to the right day number. Only 888. Of course, the bank ID isn't working for me either...Any help would be extremely appreciated.
  5. Does this law change what is allowed for Swedes while traveling to other countries? This legislation is awful.
  6. Are others frozen out of Winamax right now? I assumed I could cash out even after Dec 17 when they were going to stop allowing play from those listed as in Sweden, but I can't even access the site as it says "account frozen'. Can anyone else check and see if it's the same for them or if my account is singled out for some reason?
  7. Thanks for the tip but I would prefer not to play an anonymous site. For one, that takes a lot of the fun out of it as I enjoy building a history with people. More importantly, cheating/colluding is extremely easy on those kinds of sites and while I have no idea if it is rampant or not, I don't enjoy playing with that in the back of my mind every DS Are sites like Betsson or anything else any good?
  8. Any good smaller sites that people trust that have gotten licenses? For play up to 1/2 max. Mostly .25/.5. Hate playing on sites like PokerStars. I tried SS but the software and language were pretty off putting.
  9. Thanks a lot for replying. I didn't realize it was a tax law. I assumed it was just a regulatory law but the tax rules were based on EU lottery being tax free. I assume that this is not up for any kind of interpretation and is written clearly into the legislation?
  10. Pardon my English but I've only just lived in Sweden one year. I'm a hobby player but make money at low stakes and struggling to understand a few issues. With sites that aren't getting the license but are based in the EU like Winamax, if you change your address and can keep playing, does this mean tax problems? I won't play there anymore if so but confused because I thought the tax rules were about the site being licensed in the EU. Does the new law mean they must be licensed in Sweden to be tax free or it has nothing to do with that?
